Y’all, it was a tough day today. It started with a tired kid who was not having this whole “it’s a school day, we need to go” situation. Work was hectic and multiple project deadlines are looming. I didn’t get a real lunch hour since I had to grab my grocery order from Walmart and get those home, let the dog out and try to grab something I could eat back at my desk. The house was a mess when I get home and I had to prepare to travel for work tomorrow.
But that’s life. It’s hectic, messy and it’s not always sunshine and rainbows.
But if there’s one thing I know, it’s that it’s important we don’t stay in that place. One way I can shake it off that always works for me is to simply move!
I got home feeling exhausted and wanted nothing more than to go lay face-down in my bed and ignore all the things on my plate. But then, I found myself connecting my JBL Charge 4 Bluetooth Speaker to my phone and stated rocking out to my favorite playlist that always gets me dancing. I’m going to list my current favorites below, but my point is that movement creates energy and we should be getting in at least 30 minutes a day.
I am in a completely different place than I was 3 hours ago and this is only because I turned up some tunes and danced through my chores with my daughter. It was awesome and I’m recharged. And if the speaker is too much for the others in your home (I get it, my husband’s taste in music is way different than mine) grab some headphones (here are my favorite) and get happy.
